Google Ads

Paid search planned for Seattle's particular buyers

How does a Google Ads consultant help a Seattle business?

A Google Ads consultant decides where a Seattle business should spend, whom to target and how to prove what the ads earn. Here that often means choosing between a brand store and a marketplace listing, reaching cruise visitors before they arrive, drawing service areas around water and ferries, handling health data under Washington law with counsel, and naming cloud platforms correctly in ads. I work remotely, connected to your CRM.

Paid search in Seattle has its own wrinkles. Brands that sell mainly through marketplaces have to decide where a click should land. Hotels and tour operators near the waterfront chase cruise passengers who are still at home. Service businesses learn that a tidy radius on the map crosses open water. Health-related advertisers work under a state law that reaches further than most.

I work remotely and independently on Google Ads accounts that stay in your name: auditing what is there, rebuilding structure and tracking, then managing campaigns or advising your in-house marketer or agency. Conversions are tied to outcomes in your CRM or booking system. I earn nothing on your media spend, and no vendor pays me for referrals.

What I Do

Google Ads work for Seattle advertisers

Each item answers a question Seattle advertisers run into, with tracking connected to the bookings, orders and deals your own systems record.

Destination Strategy for Marketplace Brands

A structured test of store-bound and marketplace-bound traffic, with brand terms protected, Shopping feeds kept consistent and results judged on contribution after marketplace fees and advertising.

Visitor Campaigns

Separate campaigns for travelers planning from home and visitors already in the city, budgets that follow the cruise calendar and bookings tracked through to your reservation system.

Service Area Targeting

Locations built from the ZIP codes and cities your crews actually reach, set to people present there, with ferry-served and Eastside areas decided deliberately and calls tracked to booked jobs.

Health Data Tracking Review

An inventory of tags, audiences, conversion uploads and location settings on health-related pages, with every point that needs a decision flagged for your privacy counsel before anything changes.

Platform Keyword and Ad Policy Check

Keywords and ad text that use cloud platform names within trademark rules and partner program guidelines, focused on service searches with clear intent rather than costly generic terms.

CRM-Linked Conversion Setup

Qualified leads, opportunities and won deals sent back from your CRM as offline conversions, with partner-sourced deals tagged apart, so bidding learns from revenue rather than form fills.

Marketplace brands: your store, the marketplace listing or both

Seattle has a large community of brands that sell mainly through online marketplaces and run their own web store alongside. For them, Google Ads raises a question many advertisers never face: where should a paid click land? Sending it to your own store keeps the customer relationship and the conversion data, but many shoppers would rather buy on a marketplace they already trust, and the two can convert very differently.

Both routes come with rules. An ad's displayed domain must match where it leads, so an ad sending traffic to a marketplace listing shows the marketplace's address rather than yours, and you lose most of the on-site data that bidding learns from. Some marketplaces offer attribution tools for outside traffic, so check what your seller account can use before committing spend. Shopping campaigns need a product feed from your own store, kept consistent in price and availability.

The sound approach is a structured test: Shopping and Search campaigns that drive to your store for products with healthy store margins, and a smaller, measured test of marketplace-bound traffic where attribution is available. Brand terms deserve their own campaign, because other sellers of your products may bid on your name. Results are judged on contribution after fees and advertising across both channels, which ties back to the marketplace settlement work described on the Seattle ERP consultant page.

Cruise season visitors: targeting people who are not here yet

Seattle is a home port for cruises to Alaska, and through the season many passengers arrive early or stay on after they disembark. They search for hotels near the waterfront, transfers between the airport and the terminals, luggage storage, short tours and places to eat, first while planning well ahead of the trip and then from a phone after landing.

This is one of the few cases where the default Google Ads location setting helps rather than hurts. For most local businesses I restrict targeting to people physically in the area. A tour operator or hotel near the terminals also wants the opposite: people anywhere who are searching for, or showing interest in, Seattle. I split the two: one campaign for travelers planning from home, with messages about booking ahead and timing around the sailing, and another for people already in the city, with call buttons, directions and same-day availability.

Budgets follow the cruise calendar rather than an even monthly split, and ad schedules follow when travelers plan and when they are in town. Search terms are checked for cruise line names and port services you do not offer, which become negative keywords. Bookings are tracked through to the reservation system or CRM, so a click that turns into a paid tour counts for more than a page view. The Google Ads management service covers account structure in general.

Service areas shaped by water, bridges and ferries

A radius drawn around downtown Seattle looks reasonable on a map, but it crosses Puget Sound and Lake Washington. It takes in Bainbridge Island and parts of Kitsap County that are a ferry ride away, Eastside cities across the bridges and neighborhoods your crews may never reach in a working day. For plumbers, cleaners, movers, landscapers and other local service businesses, paying for clicks from those places wastes budget and frustrates customers.

I build location targeting from where you actually work. That usually means ZIP codes or cities rather than a radius, chosen with whoever schedules your crews, and set to people physically present in those areas. If you serve both Seattle and the Eastside with different crews, prices or travel charges, separate campaigns let budgets and messages differ. Ferry-served communities get their own decision: some businesses serve them on set days, others not at all, and the ads should say which.

Calls matter as much as forms for these businesses, so call assets and call tracking are connected to your scheduling or CRM tool, and ad schedules follow the hours your office can answer. Location reports then show which areas produce booked jobs rather than inquiries alone, and bid adjustments come only once there is enough history to trust. The local SEO service covers the organic side of the same service areas.

Health-related advertisers and Washington's consumer health data law

Washington has a consumer health data law that reaches well beyond hospitals and clinics. It can apply to fitness studios, wellness apps, supplement sellers, dental and therapy practices and other businesses whose data could reveal something about a person's health. It sets consent requirements for collecting and sharing that data and restricts geofencing around places that provide in-person care. Advertising tools are directly affected, because tags, audience lists and conversion uploads move data to third parties.

Google's own policies add another layer: personalized advertising based on sensitive health information is restricted, and some health categories require advertiser verification or limit what ads may say. For a Seattle clinic or wellness business, the safe sequence is to agree a position with privacy counsel first, then configure the account to match it.

In practice that review covers which pages carry tracking tags, whether remarketing is used at all on health-related sections, how consent is collected and recorded before tags fire, whether enhanced conversions or customer list uploads are acceptable, and whether location targeting comes too close to care facilities. I document the current setup, flag each point that needs a decision and configure tracking to follow the position your counsel sets. Measurement may become less detailed as a result, so reporting leans more on bookings recorded in your own systems. I do not give legal advice. The US Google Ads consultant page covers state privacy laws more generally.

Cloud and software service firms: platform names in your ads

Around Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure, the Seattle area supports many consultancies, managed service shops and software companies whose offer is defined by someone else's platform. Their best keywords often include a platform name, such as a migration or cost review for a named cloud service, and that raises questions most advertisers never face.

Google generally allows trademarks as keywords, but trademark owners can restrict their use in ad text, and partner programs have their own rules about how you describe your relationship and use their names and logos. I check both before writing ads, and I avoid wording that implies a status you do not hold. The platforms also advertise heavily on their own names and on generic cloud terms, so competing on broad keywords tends to be expensive and unfocused. Phrases with clear intent, such as a specific migration path, a compliance-driven architecture review or managed support for a named service, usually work better.

Sales cycles are long and involve several people, so a raw inquiry tells bidding very little. I connect the account to your CRM so that qualified meetings, opportunities and closed deals flow back as offline conversions, and bidding learns from those. Partner-sourced and co-sell opportunities are tagged separately, so paid search is not credited with deals a platform's own sales team brought in. LinkedIn often complements search for this audience, as the LinkedIn ads management service explains, and the Seattle SEO consultant page covers organic search for the same firms.

Questions About Google Ads Consultant Seattle

Often both, tested separately. Store-bound traffic keeps customer data and conversion signals; marketplace-bound traffic may convert better but shows the marketplace's address and limits what you can measure. I compare results on contribution after fees and advertising, using marketplace attribution tools where your seller account has access to them.

With a campaign that targets people searching for or interested in Seattle wherever they are, carrying messages about booking ahead. A second campaign covers visitors already in the city with calls, directions and same-day options. Budgets follow the cruise season, and bookings are tracked through to your reservation system.

It can, if your business collects data that could reveal something about a person's health. The law sets consent requirements and restricts some location targeting near care facilities. I review your tags, audiences and conversion uploads, flag decisions for your privacy counsel and configure tracking to match their position. I do not give legal advice.

Possibly, within limits. Google generally allows trademarks as keywords, but owners can restrict them in ad text, and partner programs have their own rules on how you describe your relationship with the platform. I check both before writing ads and avoid any wording that implies a status you do not hold.
