What does a Google Ads consultant for Denmark do?
A Google Ads consultant for Denmark builds and manages campaigns that speak to Danish buyers in a direct, informal tone and spend only on relevant searches. I work remotely on Danish and English keywords, negative lists, regional and cross-border targeting, Shopping and Performance Max decisions, consent mode under Danish and EU rules and CRM offline conversions. Your company owns the account and nothing about results is promised.

Danish buyers respond to ads that sound like a capable colleague, not a billboard. Superlatives, exclamation marks and stiff formal phrasing tend to read as translated or untrustworthy. Add a market where cookie consent is taken seriously and buyers who move between Danish and English, and many accounts imported from other countries simply underperform.
From a remote base, and independent of any agency or vendor, I set up and look after Google Ads for Danish companies. I structure campaigns around commercial intent, control spend with keyword and location discipline, decide where Performance Max fits, and connect conversions to the qualified leads and orders recorded in your CRM.
Workshops and documentation are in English. Danish headlines, descriptions and landing pages are written or approved by native speakers, typically colleagues of yours or a Danish partner, so the tone sounds local.
The aim is spend you can explain: where it goes, why and what it produced in qualified inquiries, orders and pipeline.
A review of settings, search terms, Danish and English keyword coverage, consent signals, conversion actions and landing pages, with the fixes that will save the most money listed first.
Search campaigns grouped by service, intent and language, with match types chosen deliberately and Danish compound terms handled as variants rather than left to broad match.
Briefs that set out the message, proof and offer for each ad group, written in Danish by native speakers in a direct, informal register and checked against the landing page.
For Danish webshops, feed quality, product groups and Performance Max set up with brand exclusions. For lead-driven businesses, a frank view on whether it belongs in the account at all.
Consent mode aligned with your cookie banner, conversion actions defined around real inquiries, and CRM stages imported as offline conversions so bidding values what sales confirms.
Regular search term pruning, bid and budget changes, ad tests and a monthly report linking spend to qualified leads and pipeline, with plain notes on decisions taken.

Danish business communication is informal by international standards. Ads and landing pages usually address the reader as du, keep sentences short and let facts carry the message. Copy that relies on superlatives or reads like a direct translation from English tends to lose trust quickly. I write message briefs for each ad group, covering the offer, the proof and the next step, and native speakers write or approve the Danish text so the register is right.
Keyword work has its own Danish details. Compound nouns can be searched as one word or two, many buyers mix Danish and English terms for software and technical services, and people often type ae, oe or aa instead of æ, ø and å on foreign keyboards. I group those variants deliberately and keep English and Danish keywords in separate ad groups with matching ads. Because the Google Ads language setting follows user signals, not query language, I usually select both Danish and English in that setting and let the keywords decide the language.
Negative keywords are just as important. Typical Danish exclusions include job and ledige stillinger for vacancies, løn for salary research, gratis for free tools, and kursus or uddannelse for training, plus Norwegian and Swedish spellings that can match by accident. Search terms are reviewed often and the lists updated as new irrelevant queries appear. The full method is on my Google Ads management page.
Denmark is compact, but its regions behave differently. Greater Copenhagen holds many head offices and public bodies, Aarhus and the rest of Jutland have a strong base of manufacturing, agriculture-related industry and logistics, Odense and Funen sit in between, and Aalborg serves the north. A national campaign without regional thinking tends to spend most of its budget in the capital, whether or not your sales capacity is there.
I align location targeting with where you can sell and deliver:
For companies that already sell in Sweden or Norway, I keep each country as a separate structure so budgets, languages and reporting stay clean. The Sweden and Norway pages describe the differences in those markets. If you are planning expansion more broadly, the paid marketing page covers how channels are combined.
Danish e-commerce is mature, and for webshops with a reliable product feed, Shopping and Performance Max campaigns can be effective. The work there is mostly about data quality: accurate titles in Danish, correct prices including VAT for consumers, stock status, delivery costs and return terms that match the store, plus brand exclusions so the campaign does not take credit for customers who were already searching for you by name.
For B2B lead generation the picture is different. A Danish manufacturer or service company might receive a limited number of inquiries a month, and Performance Max has little data to learn from. It may then spend on display, video and audience placements that are hard to judge, and report conversions that turn out to be low quality. My default for these businesses is:
Landing pages decide much of the outcome. I check that each page repeats the ad's promise, shows prices the way the audience expects, displays your company name and CVR number, names a contact person and loads quickly on a phone. Paid landing pages are planned together with my Danish SEO work, so organic and paid pages support each other.
Denmark applies GDPR and its own rules on cookies, which generally require informed consent before non-essential tracking. Danish authorities have taken an active interest in how websites collect consent and in analytics tools that transfer data abroad, and Google withholds certain advertising features for EEA visitors unless consent signals are passed. In practice, consent mode must be set up to follow your cookie banner, and a meaningful share of visitors will not be tracked directly. Your data protection lead or lawyer approves the configuration; I am not a lawyer and do not make those decisions.
Because browser data is incomplete, I anchor measurement in the CRM:
Enhanced conversions, which use hashed contact details, can improve matching but involve personal data and need explicit approval first. Danish companies running Business Central, Odoo or another ERP can extend this further by linking won orders to invoiced revenue. How the CRM side is organized, including service cases alongside sales, is explained on the Danish CRM consulting page.
Certain industries meet extra hurdles before a single ad runs. Gambling operators need a Danish license and must meet Google's own requirements, health and pharmaceutical products are restricted both by Danish law and by platform policy, and financial products and consumer credit carry their own marketing rules. Danish consumer protection also covers how prices, discounts and reviews are presented. I review the relevant Google advertising policies and flag risks, while your legal advisor confirms what Danish law permits.
Budget pacing follows the Danish calendar. Business search tends to slow during the summer holiday period and around Christmas and Easter, while some consumer categories peak in those weeks. I set monthly budgets, compare spend with plan as the month progresses and move money toward campaigns producing qualified inquiries. I do not estimate costs per lead in advance, because auction competition, your offer and conversion rates decide them.
Your company owns everything: the Google Ads account, billing in your chosen currency, tags, audiences and conversion history. My login is one you issue and can delete, changes are logged in the account history and the structure is documented for whoever manages it next. I accept no commissions from vendors or media, so recommendations on budget are independent of spend.

Not directly. Danish search terms, spelling and tone differ, and buyers notice translated copy quickly. Swedish is close but not interchangeable. I keep the structure and lessons from other markets, then build Danish ad groups with copy written or approved by native Danish speakers on your side or a local partner.
It varies by site, banner design and audience, so I would not quote a figure. What matters is understanding the gap: consent mode and modeled conversions narrow it, and CRM imports show the actual business outcome. Comparing CRM leads with platform conversions each month makes the effect visible.
Often it is worth testing, provided the product feed is accurate, prices and stock match the store, and brand searches are excluded so results are not inflated. I compare it against Shopping and search on profit or margin where data allows, rather than on reported revenue alone.
Your company owns the account, billing and data. I work through access you grant, at a level you choose, and every change I make appears in the change history. If we stop working together, you remove my access and keep the full account, documentation and conversion setup.
Both are possible. You can choose ongoing management, or an audit and rebuild followed by training, so an in-house marketer runs the account with periodic reviews from me. Training sessions run remotely in English, with Danish copy decisions left to native speakers.
Every business is different. Share where you are today and what you want to fix, and I’ll tell you honestly whether and how I can help.
