Why involve an independent Dynamics 365 consultant in Spain?
An independent Dynamics 365 consultant helps a Spanish company or subsidiary check how Business Central's Spanish version and any partner apps handle SII for companies in scope, the newer invoicing software rules and regional systems, then compares partner proposals and runs acceptance testing. I hold no Microsoft partner status and sell no licenses, so I work remotely in English purely on the client's behalf.

Spanish companies meet Dynamics 365 in two typical ways. A foreign parent already runs it and wants the Spanish subsidiary on the group template, or a growing Spanish firm with complex finance and several companies decides it needs a mid-market platform with a broad partner network.
In both cases the proposal you receive will make assumptions about Spanish localization, regional apps and data migration. I make those assumptions visible, test the critical ones and help you agree a scope that will hold once real transactions start flowing.
Partners implement and license Dynamics 365. I sit with the client and make sure what is sold matches what the Spanish business needs.
I map your Spanish obligations to what Microsoft's Spanish version provides and what relies on partner or third-party apps, recording the owner of each component.
I write test scripts covering submitted invoice records, amendments and refusals, execute them in a sandbox with the partner and have your asesor fiscal review the outcome.
For entities or customers in the Basque Country, Navarre or the Canary Islands, I document the extra tax logic and confirm which app or setup covers it.
I issue the same Spanish scenarios to each shortlisted partner, score demos and proposals, and expose differences in assumptions about apps, migration and custom extensions.
Dimensions, intercompany postings and the mapping from the Spanish general accounting plan to group reporting, so local statutory and head-office views share one ledger. Mapping is tested with a trial close.
I prepare UAT scripts, coordinate test cycles between users and the partner, track defects to closure and give management a clear readiness verdict. Open defects are ranked by business impact.

Business Central is localized for Spain by Microsoft, with the Spanish general accounting plan, VAT reporting features and functionality for SII submission included in the Spanish version for some time. That is a stronger starting point than many platforms offer, but it still needs verification for your version and your obligations.
Spain has since added rules for invoicing software that concern how invoice records are created, chained and protected, alongside a move toward mandatory B2B electronic invoicing. Microsoft and its partners have been updating Business Central in response, and some functions may come from Microsoft while others come from partner apps. I do not assume either way. For each obligation your asesor fiscal confirms, I establish:
Every one of these becomes a scripted test in user acceptance. Tax judgments are your advisor's to make; my aim is evidence that the system works before real invoices rely on it. My Business Central page covers the product in general.
A Spanish group may contain a company registered in the Basque Country, another in Madrid and a distribution arm selling into the Canary Islands. Each brings its own tax framework: the Basque provinces and Navarre run separate administrations and, in the Basque case, their own invoicing control system, while island sales come under a local indirect tax that replaces VAT. Business Central can model separate companies, posting setups and reports, but the regional reporting pieces often depend on apps from partners. Confirm which ones your partner proposes, who publishes them and how they are supported.
I build a territorial register early: which entity sits where, which customers create special tax cases and which reports each entity must produce. Every line becomes a requirement and a test.
Groups also need structure. Spanish subsidiaries report into parent charts and calendars, sometimes in another currency. I design dimensions, intercompany flows and consolidation mapping so statutory Spanish books and the parent's reporting draw on the same postings, with no spreadsheet bridge in between. The ERP for multi-company groups page explains the general approach, and my solution design service describes how I document it.
Dynamics 365 reaches customers through Microsoft's partner network: partners sell the licenses, implement the system, publish apps and provide support. Choosing the right one is probably the most important decision in a Spanish Dynamics project, because they will hold your system for years.
I am not part of that network. I hold no Microsoft partner status, I have nothing to resell and I accept no fees for introductions, so my only interest is the fit between your business and the proposal. My work typically covers:
I work remotely in English. Calls take place in the Spanish morning and early afternoon, inside my day in India. Courses for staff in Spanish come from the partner or your own key users. See ERP RFP consulting, the Spain hub and my Spanish ERP consultant page for more.
Spanish companies moving to Business Central often come from a domestic accounting suite, an older on-premises Microsoft ERP or a mix of invoicing tools and spreadsheets. An on-premises predecessor may carry customizations that nobody wants to rebuild; a domestic suite may hold the chart of accounts in a structure that differs from the group design.
I plan the move in stages. Master data is cleansed and mapped first, then open receivables and payables, then opening balances, with stock values reconciled to finance. Older history stays accessible for reference rather than migrated in bulk. The gestoría or external accountant signs off opening balances, and the switch happens as a new reporting period opens so invoice submissions and returns are not split between systems. My data migration service lists the controls.
Data protection follows the same discipline. The online service lives in Microsoft data centers, and each app publisher may process data too. For GDPR purposes, your privacy lead needs a written record of the tenant's geography, the processors involved and the contractual terms; I make the partner produce it, app by app, and the legal reading stays with that lead.
I would challenge a Dynamics 365 proposal for a Spanish company in these cases:
Larger Spanish operations may also ask whether Business Central is enough or a bigger Dynamics application is justified. Transaction load, the number of companies and how intricate the processes are decide that, and I weigh it in an ERP evaluation. The Odoo vs Dynamics 365 page covers the general comparison.

Not sure which ERP you need?
Share your business requirements with me and I will help you understand the right process, architecture and platform before implementation.
Microsoft's Spanish version of Business Central has included SII functionality, but you should confirm the behavior in your version and test it with your own invoices. I script those tests with the partner and your asesor fiscal reviews the setup before go-live.
Basque requirements are often covered by partner apps rather than standard features. I ask the partner which app they propose, who publishes and supports it, and how it tracks Microsoft updates, then test your Basque scenarios before you sign. Your advisor then confirms the setup.
No. I have no partner agreement with Microsoft, no license sales and no finder's fees from anyone in its channel. Licenses and implementation come from a partner you choose; I help you choose well and represent your interests during delivery.
Yes. I document where Spanish rules require local differences from the group template, make sure SII, invoicing software rules and regional cases are designed and tested, and make sure head office, the implementer and the Spanish staff all work from one written decision log.
Every business is different. Share where you are today and what you want to fix, and I’ll tell you honestly whether and how I can help.
