What can Zoho Analytics report for a Jordanian organization?
Zoho Analytics can give a Jordanian NGO budget versus actual by grant, donor currency and program, combined with field survey data, and give a services group utilization, margin and consolidated results across Jordanian and Gulf entities. A consultant defines the KPIs, rate rules and access by program or entity before building dashboards. I work remotely and independently, with Arabic labels checked by your staff.

Reporting in Jordan often serves two audiences that ask different questions. An NGO's donors want spending against approved budget lines, in their own currency, alongside progress on indicators. A services group's directors want utilization, margin by client and results across entities in Jordan and the Gulf. In both cases the numbers usually come from several systems and are stitched together in spreadsheets.
I help Jordanian organizations put Zoho Analytics on top of definitions that finance and program leads have signed off. Working remotely and independently, I list the decisions and reports that matter, define each KPI with finance and program leads, model data from Zoho and outside sources, check totals against the ledger and then publish focused dashboards for each audience.
NGO and commercial reporting share one discipline: definitions agreed with finance before anything is charted.
Budget lines, expenditure and commitments joined by grant and donor, so program and finance teams see burn rate and remaining budget from one source rather than separate spreadsheets.
Reporting in dinars alongside the currency each donor funds in, using the rate method your finance team and donor agreements specify, with the basis labeled on every chart.
Indicator and activity data from survey or monitoring tools combined with finance, with beneficiary personal data excluded or aggregated before it reaches the reporting model.
Utilization, billable share of hours, margin by client and backlog for software and consulting firms, combining Zoho Projects time, Zoho CRM pipeline and Zoho Books revenue.
Management views across Jordanian and Gulf entities, with intercompany recharges excluded and results shown per entity or combined, while statutory accounts stay with your accountant.
Row-level filters so program managers, country directors and entity heads see their own data, plus limited shared dashboards for donors or headquarters instead of full workspace access.

Dashboards by audience
For an NGO in Jordan, the most requested report is spending against the approved budget, by grant, budget line and period, compared with how far the program has progressed. Finance systems hold the expenditure; budgets often sit in donor-format spreadsheets; commitments such as signed purchase orders may sit somewhere else again. Pulling them together for each donor every month takes days.
In Zoho Analytics I build one model for this:
Donor financial reports themselves still follow each donor's format and are signed off by finance. The dashboard is the internal view that helps program and finance managers act before a line is overspent or funds go unused. Where staff time is a large share of cost, timesheets from Zoho People feed the payroll allocation, covered on my Zoho People Jordan page.
Jordanian NGOs receive funding in dollars, euros, sterling and other currencies, keep accounts in dinars and spend mostly in dinars. Donors usually want reports in their own currency, and agreements differ on which rate to use: the rate at which funds were received, a monthly rate or another method set in the grant terms. Services firms face a simpler version, invoicing Gulf and Western clients in their currencies.
Because the dinar is tied to the US dollar, dollar-based views stay fairly stable, while euro and sterling grants can shift noticeably. Together with finance, I set up:
Dinar amounts carry finer decimal precision than most currencies, so I check that imports into Zoho Analytics keep that precision; otherwise totals drift from the ledger by small amounts that erode trust in every report.
Accounting policy stays with your accountant. Zoho Analytics presents what the books contain, consistently and with its basis visible.
Program results often live outside finance: in mobile survey tools used by field teams, in case management systems, in partner reports and in monitoring spreadsheets. Combining them with spending lets managers ask useful questions, such as cost per activity delivered or which locations are behind on both spending and targets.
Zoho Analytics can import data through file imports, cloud storage and database or API connections, depending on what each tool supports. For each source I document the route, refresh timing, owner and known gaps, and check the export options with the tool's vendor rather than assuming them.
Beneficiary data needs particular care. It can concern refugees, children and other vulnerable people, and NGOs usually operate under donor rules, headquarters policies and Jordanian data protection legislation. My design principle is simple:
Your protection and compliance leads decide what may be stored; I make sure the model follows their decision. Get a written answer from Zoho on the data center region that hosts your Analytics workspace, and share it with your legal advisor and, where relevant, with donors who ask.
Jordanian software houses, consultancies and engineering firms frequently operate with a Jordanian company plus entities or branches in Gulf countries, each with its own books and sometimes its own Zoho organization. Directors want a combined view of revenue, margin and utilization; each entity's accountant needs the books kept separate.
The model I build in Zoho Analytics:
This is a management view, not statutory consolidation; consolidated financial statements remain the job of your accountant and auditor. Row-level filters let each entity head see their own results while directors see the group, and cost rates stay visible to finance only.
Zoho apps connect natively. Gulf entities running another ERP need a file or database route, checked with that system's vendor before the design is agreed.
A reporting project can expose problems but not solve them all. Before investing, a Jordanian organization should be clear about the limits:
Because the engagement runs in English, any Arabic titles or labels in dashboards come from Arabic-speaking colleagues, who also review how they display. If your organization already uses Power BI under a headquarters license, extending that may make more sense than adding Zoho Analytics, and I will say so; no vendor pays me a commission.

It can produce the internal view: spending and commitments against approved budget lines by grant and period, with burn rate and remaining budget. Budget lines are mapped from your chart of accounts by finance. Official donor reports still follow each donor's format and are prepared and signed by your finance team.
Each record keeps its transaction and funding currency, and finance maintains rate tables for the methods your grant agreements specify. Reports state the currency and rate basis on every chart. Accounting policy for exchange differences remains with your accountant; the dashboard presents what the ledger recorded.
Usually only in aggregated form. Counts and indicator values serve most reports, while names, phone numbers and registration numbers stay in the systems built to protect them. Your protection and compliance leads decide what may be stored, and the hosting region should be confirmed with Zoho in writing.
For management reporting, yes. Each entity is tagged on every record, recharges between group companies are removed under finance rules, and results show per entity or for the group. Entities on non-Zoho systems need a file or database route. Statutory consolidation remains with your accountant and auditor.
No. I advise independently, resell no licenses and earn no commissions. If Power BI or another tool fits your organization better, especially where headquarters already provides one, I will recommend it. The engagement is remote and runs in English, with plan limits and features confirmed with Zoho or the partner.
